Wind monitoring on the A10 Tauernautobahn

On the A10 Tauernautobahn we installed wind monitoring systems on behalf of ELIN GmbH & CO KG in front of both tubes of the Ofenauer Tunnel near Golling, Austria. The systems feature a wind alarm that in case of heavy cross winds activates traffic signs to warn drivers.

The monitoring systems are located in direction Villach on a gantry in front of the Ofenauer Tunnel and in direction Salzburg on a pole between the Hiefler and the Ofenauer Tunnel.

The ultrasonic anemometers have been pre-configured in house and have been delivered on specially manufactured stainless steel consoles. The installation has been completed within a few house without any problems.

This project once again underlined our expertise in delivering ready-to-use solutions. At the same time this project marks our entry into the market of road weather stations.
