A1 Tunnel Liefering – Renovation completed
On Saturday, Nov. 26, 2016 ASFINAG could reopen the renovated Tunnel Liefering on the A1 Westautobahn in the city of Salzburg for traffic. Since the beginning of the construction works ASFINAG has invested 18 million Euro in the state capital.
Following equipment has been installed: a high pressure water deluge system for optimum fire protection, a new ventilation including controlling environmental monitoring equipment, an LED lighting, additional emergency call systems and fire fighting niches and a video and radio system.
Right on our doorstep for JES it was an exciting project. The wide tunnel cross section together with the installations for the water deluge system and the Autobahn entry and exit in the tunnel have been a special challenge for the environmental monitoring solution.
The contract with our customer STRABAG Anlagentechnik Gmbh who served as general contractor for the electromechanical installations included:
- 2 Extractive CO and visibility monitoring systems t/EXT for 2 measuring points
- 14 Air flow monitoring systems (ultrasonic)
- 6 Air temperature meters in the tunnel
- 2 Air flow monitoring systems (differential pressure)
- 8 Luminance meters t/LUM
- 2 Illuminance meters t/LUX
