On Sunday, December 20, 2015 at 11:50 pm the S10 Mühlviertler Schnellstraße was opened for traffic. Now that Austrias biggest road project with 8 tunnels has been completed the Mühlviertel region and Freistadt are comfortably connected to Linz and Upper Austria’s central region. With 17 new highway kilometers the Austrian high level road network adds up to 2,200 kilometers. The Freistadt bypass – 5 kilometers north the just opened segment of the S10 – has been under traffic since November 2014.
The S10 was also the major project for JES in the last years. On behalf of Dürr Austria GmbH which was the general contractor for the electromechanical equipment we implemented and commissioned the air quality monitoring systems and delivered the light sensors. The contract included:
- 26 extractive CO and visibility monitoring systems t/EXT
- 60 air flow measuring systems (differential pressure method) t/FL-DP
- 53 luminance meters t/LUM
